Multiple Element Gas Container (MEGC) comes in two different standard lengths of 40ft and 20ft. The selection of the tubes depends on the product and desired payload. CMW can manufacture MEGCs with any combination depending on the customer requirements. Following spreadsheet shows different possible combinations for MEGCs with DOT tubes and a few with UN tubes. Although tubes come in standard lengths, they are available for any desired length. UN tubes have been lately more popular in MEGCs. There is slight variation on the UN and DOT tubes on the weight, volume and material composition and the advantage of UN tubes over DOT tubes is that UN tubes have 10 years retest requirement while DOT tubes have 5 years retest requirement. Any configuration with DOT tubes can be replaced with UN tubes.
